Gray Day
Yearbook will be having a contest during the week of January 23-27. If you purchase a yearbook during the week of January 23-27, you will be entered in a drawing to win a 100% refund on your yearbook. That is a $50 savings. Stop by room A210, order online, or purchase a yearbook during lunch for a chance to win!
Local Scholarship applications are now available in the counseling office.
Seniors: Posey County Community Foundation Scholarships are due February 1st. You must take a sealed copy of your transcript to Old National Bank in Mt. Vernon.
The Evansville Courier-Press will be recognizing outstanding juniors for contributions in the classroom, extra-curricular activity and community service for the Star Student Program. If you would like to be placed in nomination go to www.courierpress/starstudent/nomination.com. Deadline to apply is Feb. 12.
Juniors: Prom Committee meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 31st at 7:30 in Mrs. Walter’s room, C103. We will be voting on prom themes.
Cul will rehearse at 3:30 p.m. today.

- Bring order form and payment to the front office or yearbook room.
Order now, so your student won’t miss out when the yearbook is distributed around August.

Wildcats of the Month
Each month the faculty of Mount Vernon High School selects “Wildcats of the Month.” The general criteria for student selection may include but is not limited to academic achievement, improvement in academic performance, attendance and/or attitude. Student honorees receive movie passes, food certificates and an MVHS T-shirt.
December's Wildcats of the Month are Craig Dick, Justin Dickhaut, Nicholas Loehr, Torsten Maier, Matt Norton, Sam Oliver, Cheyenne Strobel, Michelle Walker, Kassidy Wolfe, and Brianna Wrobel.

The Youth First "Most of Us" campaign is a research-based campaign to reduce teen alcohol and substance abuse among high school students by correcting misperceptions and promoting positive social norms.
